The S-U-N and the S-O-N

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

By Lynn Bradley This article was written to show the relationship of the S-U-N to the S-O-N, and to glorify the S-O-N. It may be published if the resource box is left intact. The S-U-N and the S-O-N have much in common. The S-U-N is the visible light and the S-O-N is the spiritual luminance. They both shine on the world. They illuminate, one for the vision of the eyes, and the other for the understanding of the soul. The S-U-N brings warmth to the day and eliminates darkness. The S-O-N brings forgiveness and peace to a troubled sin sick world by revealing the truth and exposing evil. The S-O-N did not come to condemn but to save. He came to become the sins of the whole world, though he did not commit a single one. The S-U-N hid its face when the S-O-N was nailed to the cross and shed his blood. Let the S-U-N remind you that the S-O-N loves you and is ready to answer your prayers. When you see the clouds and rain, in place of the S-U-N, remember that the S-O-N is demonstrating his love. He waters the crops and other vegetation to provide food and to decorate your view. The face and clothing of the S-O-N shined like the S-U-N when he was transfigured on the mountain. Moses and Elijah who had not seen the S-U-N for thousands of years spoke with the SO-N. Death was overcome by the S-O-N Everyone under the S-U-N who obeys the S-O-N will live with God and the S-O-N in heaven. The S-O-N is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers, or authorities, all things were created by him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together (COL1:15-17). For to us a child is born, to us a S-O-N is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace(ISA 9:6). The S-U-N is a reflection of the glory of the S-O-N, who created it. Enjoy the warmth of the S-U-N and the peace that only the S-O-N can give. Do not worship the S-U-N, but give all reverence to the S-O-N, For there is no other name under heaven given to men, by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). The S-U-N and all physical things are proof that the world is not the result of an accident, but was created by the S-O-N. We observe every day that accidents do not create order, but disorder. If created by an explosion, water would not be pure H2O, air would be polluted, and the earth would not revolve accurately around the S-U-N. You cannot accidently become a doctor, a lawyer, or any other professional person. Neither can accidents create people. Ask any scientist if anything has ever been cloned by accident. You cannot be saved by accident either. You must study the word of God and put your trust in the S-O-N. As surely as the S-U-N gives light, the S-O-N is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them (HEB 7:25). About Child Bedwetting

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

By Balaji B Bedwetting also known as nocturnal Enuresis is a common problem that is encountered in children below 6 years. Many of the children bed wet since they have no control over the bladder. The cause could be immature bladder in them. As they grow the bed wetting problem will be rectified naturally. There are also older children with this bed wetting problem. The child should not be punished for bed wetting. They should be educated that it is a normal problem that is faced by many children around the world. Parents should not worry about the bed wetting problem and they should try to educate the child on it. The children should not be humiliated for doing so. They should also be involved in changing clothes and bed sheets. Bedwetting can also be of hereditary in nature. Parents who had a history of bedwetting may have child who bedwets. This problem is also related to a particular hormone in our body. The anti-diuretic hormone if not produced properly, will lead to bedwetting. This hormone is responsible for concentrating the urine and avoid over-fill of the bladder. Medications like DDAVP (desmopressin acetate) are used to control bed wetting. It is found that this medicine is effective for children over the age of six. This medicine is available in the form of nasal spray and also tablets. The patient has to seek the advice of a doctor before using such medicines. Bladder control can also be practiced to control the urge to urinate during sleep. Bladder control can be practiced during day time by not urinating for prolonged period. This might help the children to control themselves in night time and thus avoid bed wetting. Children should avoid taking too much of drinks before going to bed and they should make it a habit to go to the bathroom before going to bed. Getting a Tax ID Number for a Business Entity

Monday, October 29th, 2007

By Richard Chapo If you are going into business, the smart move is almost always to form a business entity to protect you from lawsuits. If you take this step, you need to get a tax identification number for the entity. Lets face it. There is a certain amount of legal risk if you go into business for yourself. You need only watch the news or read the paper to see all kinds of scary lawsuits and judgments. Hey, we all remember the jury that awarded three million dollars to the women who said her McDonalds coffee was to hot. If that doesnt scare you, nothing will. Fortunately, the law also gives you some ammunition to fight back against potential lawsuits. The ammunition comes in the form of business entities that protect you from personal liability for the debts of the business. These debts include lawsuit judgments. The two most common business entities used for this purpose are the corporation and limited liability company. Although each is unique, they create a shield between your personal assets and the business. This occurs because the entities are treated as though they are a unique person. If they get into trouble, you are not liable. For example, buying shares in Google, a publicly traded corporation, does not mean you are on the hook if Google loses a lawsuit. Obviously, the liability protection of a business entity is a good thing. That being said, you have to treat it as a separate individual to keep the shield in place. In this case, we are talking about getting a tax identification number for it. Of course, the IRS doesnt call it that. Instead, it is called an Employee Identification Number or EIN. So, how do you get one? The first thing to do is download the SS-4 form off the IRS website. Fill it out so you have all the information necessary. You can mail it in, but it takes forever to get a response. Assuming you want things to move quicker, the easier step is to call the IRS at 800-829-4933. They will ask you for information off the form and give you the EIN there and then. Alternatively, you can go to their site and do the application online. Just search for EIN and then fill out the form. Importantly, write down the EIN when it appears as the IRS does not send you a confirming email. Getting an EIN for a business entity is fairly simple. Just make sure you need one. Single owner LLCs often do not. If you have any doubts, hire an accountant to do it. It will cost a couple of bucks, but is worth getting it right. Richard A. Distinguished Decorating with Bronze Horse Statues

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

By Chris Robertson Have you ever been out sightseeing with family or friends only to come across a magnificent sculpture of something so unique that it practically took your breath away? That is exactly the kind of response you would get with a bronze horse statue. Your statue could be located at the entrance of your driveway for all passersby to admire or placed as an eye catcher at the entrance of a secluded ranch. Maybe you want a beautiful landmark to distinguish a particular office building, or just a personal keepsake in your own home to pass down from one generation to the next. Whatever decorating ideas you may have in mind, a miniature bronzehorse statue would add such a sense of distinctiveness and awe to any room, as would a stunning livesize statue situated at the entrance of a driveway. A Bronze Horse Statue is a Great Gift Idea A bronze horse statue can be given as a gift to a child on a special occasion or to an adult who loves horses. Any horse lover would be thrilled to receive such a priceless gift, and giving such a gift doesn’t have to mean breaking the bank. The statues can be small enough to fit on a desktop, or you might commission a sculptor to create a life-size image. With horse statue commissions, you can have your favorite horse sculpted or do the same for a close friend or family member as a gift. The statue could be even the most personal of gifts to recreate an image of a once loved horse or of such a unique horse that you would want to remember it throughout the years. If you enjoy collecting, or have thought about starting a collection, the uniquely made bronze horse statue would be a breath taking collection to own. Decorating Indoors with a Bronze Horse Statue Adding a bronze horse statue under a well-loved horse portrait painting could be the finishing touch of a cozy room. There’s nothing quite like a statue somewhere near to accent a beautiful painting, whether it were a statue of an Arabian horse or a wild Mustang. It will present an image for the mind to view over and over again. Adding an equine would definitely spice up a den in any home. Having your office decorated with such a distinction is just as important. These statues can add just the touch of uniqueness needed to fit your personality if you’re a horse lover. There are desksize horse sculptures to fit on your desk or floor statues to place in a prominent corner of the room. An Affordable Gift You can give a gift that will last. You can give an equine of lasting beauty, made with a personal touch by a sporting artist. A one-of-a-kind bronze horse statue is affordable, starting out at around $30.00. There are reasonable prices to match whatever gift ideas you have in mind. You can give a gift that lasts a lifetime - a gift to remember. Season’s Greetings from the Hybrids

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

By Paul Meshanko Ah, December! This truly is one of my favorite times of the year. The lights and holiday decorations around our town, the first snowfall and sledding with the kids, the scent of potpourri at home and in stores, parties and dinners with family and friends, and that sense of completion as the business year draws to a close. And theres my favorite sign of the seasonthe music. As long as its after Thanksgiving, I do find myself smiling and waxing nostalgic when those special songs play on the radio. My all time favorite is Andy Williams timeless rendition of “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year”. How can you not smile when you hear it?! Then theres the whole tradition of gift giving. Like everyone else, I do get a bit tired of the commercialism that has come to predominate the holidays, but I do find it easier to ignore as I get older. Hmm, wait a minute. Maybe thats by design. Now that I think about it, its usually my wife who elects to do (gets stuck with) most the gift shopping so she most likely has a different take on this than me (sorry dear)! That not withstanding, we try not to overdo the gifts. Weve long since given up on presents for all the family members and do a simple exchange on each side of the family. The kids still make out like little bandits. With doting grandparents and a December birthday for my son, our house is like Toy Central pretty much the entire month. But, over the past decade, the season has changed for me, both in meaning and in celebration. When my wife and I got married, we knew that combining both Christian/Catholic and Jewish traditions would be an artful (most times) game of give and take. We’d made the decision up front to raise our children in the Jewish faith, so Hanukkah would be our primary celebration. But would there still be a Christmas tree (or a generic “Holiday tree”), lights outside, stockings over the fireplace, Christmas cookies or candles in the windows? The answer is “yes” and “no”. And I like it like that. Make no mistake; once we made the decision to raise our children in the Jewish faith, we eventually concluded that it did not really make sense to actively celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah under the same roof. From the perspective of faith, a mixed message about one’s own religious identity is really no message at all. And Hanukkah is what the Meshanko family practices and celebrates. In fact, both of my kids (ages 5 and 3) can recite the traditional prayers that accompany the lighting of the menorah each night - in Hebrew. We bake cookies, light scented candles and have Hanukkah decorations tucked into the different corners of our house. But when we go to visit my siblings and parents, we celebrate Christmas. Whoever is hosting Christmas Eve dinner has a tree, stockings, even more presents and all of the other trappings that accompany the holiday. And as they get older, our kids will gradually learn what beliefs Christians associate with the holiday. My conclusion about our situation - which is far from unique - is this: It’s all good. Whether we celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, the Winter Solstice or anything else, we celebrate! And that, I believe, is our only obligation - to celebrate what is or becomes significant to us. I still get my Christmas fix by listening to songs on the radio and enjoying the Christmas trees and lights in other peoples’ yards…and I don’t have to take them back down afterwards! I eat holiday cookies with abandon regardless of which tradition(s) triggered their baking, and I shop (albeit online) with the best of the would-be Santa Clauses! But I also revel in watching my children grow up in a tradition different than the one I did. Watching their young minds grow and create their own set of imprints and memories is fascinating and rewarding. The universal message that I want them to grow up with is this: December is a month of transition and celebration…period. We wish our Christian friends Merry Christmas, our Jewish friends Happy Hanukkah, and if we don’t know their faith, we wish them a hearty Happy Holidays! So, from my family to yours, Happy Holidays. May the best of 2006 be merely a launching pad for 2007…and may you find many reasons to celebrate throughout the entire New Year! When A Child Runs Away

Thursday, October 25th, 2007

By Luella May What do you do when a child shuts down? What do you do when you cannot communicate with a child, when a child seems to have lost their emotions, their sense of conscience? What do you do when a child runs away? It is probably too late to do anything. Well, it’s never too late, but the chasm has widened to great proportions. One can only hope that they come back and then, from that moment on, that we begin chipping through the wall that separates us so that we may rebuild the bond that we once had with our child. Being a parent nowadays is extremely difficult. With the stress caused by today’s fast paced environment, too many of us focus on ourselves and leave our children to fend for themselves, physically and emotionally. Our children do not lack in material things. Every modern convenience is at their fingertips. They hang out at the mall, shop for whatever they desire. They have their own social lives, they come and go as they please. Why one might even say that our children are spoiled rotten. However, while having everything this world has to offer, our children are emotionally destitute. This hasn’t happened all of a sudden and we are not fully to blame, as we too were given every modern convenience. Our parents too worked and had their own stresses and worries. Although we too were taken care of with the best they had to offer, we too suffered from the lack of attention and love that their modern world demanded of them. I believe that our children are at the tail end of what has been a slow progression of materialism replacing love. Therefore, we needn’t blame ourselves, as we too have been victims of this progression and in many ways, we are raising our children as our parents raised us. Our behavior is one we have learned. However, with each generation, we lose a little more of the bond that cements parent and child and little by little our children slip away. I trace this back to the 1960’s, when the world turned a very sharp corner and everything changed. Values changed, morals changed, women went in to the working world. Soon day care centers that replaced a mother’s care sprang up all over. A new way of life had begun. This was the beginning of our letting go. As each new generation takes its place in society, I see our children growing up a little bit sooner than the last generation. If I was queen of the world, I would see to it that children remained carefree and happy for the first twenty years of their lives before they were obligated to take on the responsibility of being adults. However, I am not the queen of the world and I see our children forced to grow up and take on the role of an adult much before their time. As we parents are preoccupied with making a living, paying bills, taking care of the house, soccer games, shopping, running here, running there, we inadvertently force our children to grow up much sooner than they would normally need to. This can be seen in our children’s very actions. Children are experimenting with sex at an earlier age with each passing generation. Being that they are not emotionally mature at that age to really cope with this facet of life, it results in unwanted pregnancies and abortions. Each choice has an emotional drawback at such an early age. By the time the parent finds out, it is too late and the layers of life begin to build. For those who keep their babies, they must suddenly become responsible adults. However, we know that this is not always the case, the result being another child left to grow up on their own and so on and so forth and the cycle merely continues. Rebellion is another result of today’s fast paced environment. The majority of our rebellious teens, forced by today’s society, will grow up to be the responsible parents of tomorrow, only to have the cycle repeated by their own children. The worst case scenario is when a child grows up feeling that he is not loved. One thing that every human being on the planet needs is love and acceptance. Granted, there are many times out in the world when we do not receive this love and acceptance, but when a child does not get this from their own parents, the consequences are devastating. The child will seek it out by whatever other means possible: gangs, cults, friendships, boyfriends, girlfriends, sex, drugs, and the list goes on. Each individual child reacts differently to lack of love and indifference. Some will do anything in the world to please their parents and gain acceptance. Others will react angrily and become rebellious. And then there are some that will simply shut down. As they rebel, they become so hardened, that they will lose all sense of emotion. They will become hard and uncaring, their demeanor will even almost appear as evil. At this point, all attempts to reach them will fail, as they have shut down. Their trust for all humankind has been lost. In a case such as this, I have no idea how it can be retrieved. One can only hope that a circumstance in life will touch them, thereby softening their heart. That one person somewhere who will touch and save them from this terrible fate. But the sad part is that at this point, it is highly unlikely. The teenage suicide rate is higher than it has ever been. These hopeless teens are the ones that lack for nothing in the material sense. But somewhere love is missing. Lack of love creates a sense of worthlessness, of hopelessness. They have reached a point where nothing works anymore. Not people, not alcohol, not drugs, not anything. They have reached a state of complete hopelessness. Today, we accept things as normal that years ago we would have considered tragic. Runaway teens are a very common thing. We have become desensitized to the suffering in this world, especially our own children’s sufferings. While in our care, we miss the most important of warning signs until it’s too late or our children are gone. Then we panic, we cry, we beg them to come home, as we promise them that we will work things out. In our despair, we pray that they don’t run into the wrong person, a person that will give them the false hope of love, only to give them the most bitter disappointment of all. Those of us in this position can only wait and pray, as we solemnly resolve that if we get our child back, things will be different. We will communicate with our child and rebuild that bond that mother and child once had. If only we had another chance. I do not want to give the impression that the parent is the sole one responsible for this the saddest of circumstances, as too often the child also has his part in this scenario. However, we must remember at all times, that we are the adult and we are dealing with children. We are the ones that should be in control in all areas, love, discipline, providing our child with food and clothing and all in all, preparing them to cope in this complicated world of ours. Too often, I’ve seen the parent lower themselves to the same level as that of their child. I wish I had a happy ending, but I don’t. From the minute that baby is born, know that it is not your possession, but a new individual soul that has entered this world. You have been given a most wonderful privilege and responsibility, that of loving, guiding and teaching that child to grow into the best person he can possibly be. For those of us that are at the other end of the spectrum looking back, we hope it is not too late. The love and trust can be achieved again, or maybe for the first time, but it will take time. The most important thing to remember is no matter what, always love your child. And always keep the door open. While physically and materially our children lack for nothing, emotionally, they are barren. Invoice Factoring Companies

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Kent_Pinkerton]Kent Pinkerton Invoice factoring companies are companies that fully manage a businesss sales ledger, and ensure collection of all the debts due. Invoice factoring companies buy invoices or receivables from a business and advances 80 to 90 percent of the invoice amount. The remaining amount minus the charges will be paid when the customer clears the debt. The invoice factoring company takes the responsibility of informing the customer about the service. The seller receives the amount within 24 hours in most cases. Invoice factoring companies are advantageous to businesses in that they provide the working capital needed when the clients fail to pay on time. They demand no collaterals and are therefore hassle free. Invoice factoring companies gain from the service charge and the interest charge for the cash advanced to the business. The service charge is usually a certain percentage of the sales factored and the service charge is calculated usually depending on the annual turnover of the company, the number of invoices and the number of customers. The interest charges are along the lines of normal secured bank overdraft rates. Some invoice factoring companies provide bad debt protection whereas some do not. While this is termed non-recourse factoring, recourse factoring is the policy when the bad debts remain with the business. Invoice factoring companies are a large group, existing as units within many commercial banks, as sections of large financial institutions, as companies, and as services offered by individuals. When choosing a factoring company, extreme care is to be taken regarding its terms and conditions, reputation, service, bad debt protection, service and interest charges. It is also best to verify whether the company chosen provides Internet access to ones account so that the sales ledger and customer details can be constantly monitored. It is also crucial to ensure that they promote a good customer relationship. Eating for Life

Sunday, October 21st, 2007

By Michael Bens As a matter of course, all responsible persons should take the time to educate themselves, and their children, about the benefits of healthy eating. Learning to eat for life in a health conscious way is one of the best guarantees for a long and fulfilling life. The quality of our lives is as important as the quantity to most individuals, but because of debilitating disease, we are often forced to make a decision and choose between quality and quantity. Thanks to the advances in modern medicine, the average persons life span now exceeds seventy years. If you stop to think, thats quite a long time to walk around on this earth. Along with the wonderful life expectancy increases, however have the detrimental effects of overeating and unhealthy eating. It seems that as we advance in one area, we regress in others. As we set out on the course of life, from birth to death, eating is a constant. We eat to sustain life to our bodies, and maintain optimal health as babies. As we grow older, we eat because we enjoy the food we are consuming. This is where the equation has become somewhat skewed. We are supposed to eat because we need the nourishment, and hopefully enjoy the food as we consume it. Not consume it just because we enjoy the food, with little regard to our need for nourishment. Eating for life is a concept that should never have needed invention, however, here we are. Learning about healthy choices, caloric needs, vitamin needs, and how to make the best choice in order to accommodate all needs, requires some education. Many children reach adulthood with no thought being given at all to the most important conscious action we have: eating. There is no room for food education in our school system; were too busy with mathematics and science. Home economics classes, that were once a part of the required curriculum, are now optional and very few students are exposed to the notional education found in that class. Health is taught as a science course, and addresses matters of personal hygiene, diseases, and the broad spectrum of health as it applies to the masses. No individual attention is given to how to attain optimal health via our eating habits. Its funny that we skip the most important, fundamental building block to good health: our notional and caloric consumption in our food. I personally believe we should have the field of neutrino and physical activity married into something combined to provide every person that enters the school system with a personal knowledge of their bodies needs, caloric, and nutritional, so that they complete their education with mental and physical competencies. For now, we simply wait until our children have reached unhealthy, obese weights, and then put them through the painful process of trying to regain their physical health, and restrict their eating. Dont you think it would have been much easier to simply have prevented this problem, and taught them good physical fitness and good eating habits? Eating for life is a concept that should be as important to our educational process as our ability to count. The ability to recognize our nutritional requirements, find the foods we need to fulfill those requirements, and differentiate between healthy food consumption and unhealthy eating habits is not an option. Not for a healthy, happy, long, and quality life. For more great information visit Gabae Weight Loss the premiere resource for weight loss, diets, nutrition and living a great healthy life style! The two main formats in use today are chronological and functional format. Which one is best to use will depend greatly on your situation. To build your resume you can use free resume forms located on the web. This can provide you with directions if you are having trouble building your resume. A sample resume outline would include the following sections: The Heading Your resume should start with the heading. You can list your basic details so the employer can contact you. You can include your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. NAME ADDRESS PHONE NUMBER EMAIL ADDRESS Job Objective This is an optional section of your resume outline. Here you can tell readers what the objective of your resume is and what you are looking for. Example: Entry-level accounting position with medium to large public accounting firm. The “Body” is the largest section of your resume outlineThis is where you can enter details about your education, work experience and additional information. The body contains: Education Here you can list your educational background. Educational Background Format: College, Degree, Major, Honors, Relevant Courses Sample Education Section: Drexel UniversityBA Educational Leadership, May 2000 If you have a college education, do not list your high school information. You can also list any honors for academic excellence in this section of your resume outline. If you are a graduating senior or looking for an internship, you can add a relevant courses section to your resume outline. Employment History This is an important part of the resume. Here you can list your previous employment history. If you are using a chronological resume format, you should list the most recent job positions first on your resume outline. Example: Drug Emporium, Wayne, PA Cashier, June to September, 2001 Supervised customer check out Handled the cash register Managed and stocked merchandise You can also list relevant volunteer activities or work experience programs if you do not have much job experience. Achievements If you have any special achievements you would like to announce, you can use this section. Maybe you made a suggestion that saved your previous boss a ton of money. You can list it in this section of your resume outline. Special Skills The remaining sections of the resume can include additional skills such as fluency in a foreign language. References You should leave this section out altogether. References are not required at this stage and stating that ‘References are available upon request’ is assumed anyway… so you just end up wasting valuable space! Additional Optional Sections You can add additional sections to your resume outline such as volunteer work, community involvement or honors. You also have to decide on the layout of your resume. Choose a common font and medium range font-size, such as 12. Decide how you want to highlight the headings of the different sections. You can use bold, italics or underline to highlight section headings. Some people use bold and a larger font size to highlight their name on the resume. The last part of your resume will probably receive little focus, so if you have a marketable skill or outstanding honor you should try to incorporate them in earlier sections of your resume. You can find a lot of resources on the web that can provide you with free outlines and sample resume layouts. Usually an outline will differ if the resume is for a recent college graduate or a long time professional. Choose a resume outline that is specific to your career field and you can build your resume around that outline.
